Terms and Conditions

Effective June 2026.

Welcome

These Terms and Conditions, referred to as the "Terms," govern your purchase of furniture from Hudson Stonehouse, a custom stone furniture studio. By placing an order with Hudson Stonehouse, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by these Terms in full. Please review them carefully before submitting an order.

Orders, payment, and acceptance

All orders placed with Hudson Stonehouse are reviewed and accepted by Hudson Stonehouse before fabrication begins. Acceptance of an order is confirmed in writing by email from your dedicated Hudson Stonehouse representative.

Payment is required in full at the time the order is placed. Hudson Stonehouse will not begin fabrication or secure materials for your piece until full payment has been received and cleared. Deposits, partial payments, and payment plans are not available.

Once an order has been placed and accepted, no cancellations are available. Every piece is custom fabricated to your specifications and stone is sourced specifically for your order. This policy applies to all orders without exception.

Pricing and estimates

Prices shown in the Design Studio on the website are planning estimates and are not final. Final pricing is confirmed by your representative at quote review and may vary based on final stone selection, fabrication complexity, exact dimensions, and delivery requirements. All amounts are quoted in United States dollars. Sales tax and applicable delivery charges are calculated separately and added to the final invoice.

Custom work and slab selection

Each Hudson Stonehouse piece is fabricated to order. Natural stone has unique veining, color, mineral inclusion, and movement that cannot be replicated. The slab used to fabricate your piece may differ in appearance from renderings, reference photographs, or other pieces shown on the website or in marketing materials.

Before fabrication begins, Hudson Stonehouse will share photographs of the specific slab selected for your piece. Lighting conditions during photography, including studio lighting, natural daylight, and individual digital screen calibration, can cause colors and tones to appear different in photographs from how the stone looks in person. The piece as delivered may also differ slightly in appearance from these reference photographs. This is an inherent characteristic of natural stone and is not considered a defect.

The photographs you approve are of the exact slab that will be used to fabricate your piece. Hudson Stonehouse does not substitute slabs after your approval. If a slab becomes unavailable before fabrication begins, your representative will share photographs of a replacement slab for your approval before any cutting takes place.

Delivery

Hudson Stonehouse offers door to door delivery throughout the United States, with tristate area deliveries prioritized whenever possible. Once a piece ships, the carrier contacts you directly to schedule a delivery time and confirm the drop off location. For homes this is typically the front entrance, and for apartment buildings the loading dock or building service entrance. White glove service, meaning in room placement, unpacking, and packaging removal, is available for an additional fee. Because pricing depends on the delivery details, an apartment or a house, stairs, and which floor, your representative will quote white glove service when your order is placed, and it must be arranged before the piece ships.

Estimated delivery timelines provided in your order confirmation are good faith estimates only and are subject to change. Fabrication, material sourcing, finishing, and shipping schedules can shift due to factors outside our control, and some custom pieces may take several months to complete. Hudson Stonehouse will keep you informed of any material changes to the estimated timeline through your representative.

Damage, returns, and refunds

You are responsible for inspecting your piece carefully on the day of delivery. Any damage, including chips, cracks, scratches, or other visible defects, must be reported in writing by email to shop.hudsonstonehouse@gmail.com on the day of delivery. Your report must include clear photographs of the damage from multiple angles and a written description of the issue.

Damage reports submitted after the day of delivery may not be accepted or processed. Reports submitted promptly and in full will be reviewed without delay.

If a piece is damaged in transit and the damage is reported on the day of delivery, Hudson Stonehouse will work with you to resolve the issue. At Hudson Stonehouse's discretion, we will offer either a refund of the purchase price or fabrication and delivery of a replacement piece. Hudson Stonehouse does not provide pickup, return shipping, or removal of damaged pieces, and Hudson Stonehouse personnel will not return to the delivery location to retrieve a damaged piece. Disposal or storage of the damaged piece is the responsibility of the customer.

Outside of transit damage reported on the day of delivery, all sales are final.

Warranty

Hudson Stonehouse warrants its furniture against structural defects in materials and fabrication for a period of one year from the date of delivery, provided the piece is used under normal residential indoor conditions and has been cared for in accordance with the care and maintenance guidance provided.

If a piece fails structurally during the one year warranty period under normal indoor use, Hudson Stonehouse will, upon written review of the claim and supporting documentation, offer a full refund of the purchase price.

This warranty does not cover:

  • Normal wear and tear, including small surface scratches and gradual patina from regular use
  • Stains, etching, dulling, or any surface damage caused by spills, cleaning products, or contact with foreign substances
  • Damage caused by improper care, including failure to seal porous stone at recommended intervals
  • Cosmetic changes to the stone over time, including natural color shifts and developing patina
  • Damage caused by outdoor use, commercial use, or use in environments outside the customer's residence
  • Damage caused by mishandling, modification, repair, or moving performed by anyone other than Hudson Stonehouse
  • Variation in the slab or stone character as covered under the Custom work and slab selection section above

Warranty claims must be submitted in writing by email with clear photographs of the issue and a description of the conditions of use. Hudson Stonehouse reserves the right to inspect the piece, request additional documentation, or deny claims that fall outside the scope of this warranty.

Care and maintenance

Natural marble and other porous stones are sensitive to staining and etching from acids, oils, wine, coffee, citrus, and other common household substances. You are responsible for keeping your piece properly sealed and for using it appropriately.

Hudson Stonehouse recommends resealing porous stone every 6 to 12 months using a quality stone sealer, wiping spills immediately, using coasters and trivets, and avoiding contact with hot pans, harsh chemicals, and abrasive cleaners. A basic care and maintenance guide is included with every delivery.

Failure to follow reasonable care guidelines may void the warranty for any related damage. Stains, etching, and similar surface conditions are not considered fabrication defects and are not covered under the warranty.

Contact information you provide on the website, including name, email address, phone number, and delivery address, is used only to process your inquiry or order and communicate with you about it. Hudson Stonehouse does not sell or share customer information with third parties for marketing purposes.
