About onyx
Onyx is the most dramatic stone we work with. It forms in layers from mineral rich water, producing translucent bands of color that glow when light passes through. A single onyx piece can act as sculpture, and backlit onyx is one of the most striking effects in interior design.
Care and maintenance
Onyx is softer and more delicate than marble or quartzite, so it rewards a gentle touch. Seal it regularly, keep acidic liquids away from the surface, and clean only with a soft cloth and mild soap. Onyx pieces are best placed where they are admired more than they are used hard, like display plinths, side tables, and entry moments.
