About travertine
Travertine forms in mineral hot springs, where escaping gas leaves the stone with its signature natural pitting and layered banding. It reads warmer and more organic than marble, with a texture that feels ancient in the best way. The Colosseum is clad in it, which says something about how it endures.

Travertine is porous, so sealing every 6 to 12 months is important, especially for pieces that hold drinks or food. Wipe spills promptly, avoid harsh or acidic cleaners, and use coasters.
