About marble
Marble is crystallized limestone, transformed by heat and pressure over millions of years. Every slab carries veining that formed as minerals seeped through the stone, which is why no two marble pieces are ever alike. It is cool to the touch, takes a beautiful polish, and has anchored important rooms for more than two thousand years.
Care and maintenance
Marble is porous and reacts to acid, so wine, citrus, and coffee should be wiped promptly. We recommend sealing marble every 6 to 12 months with a quality stone sealer, using coasters under drinks, and cleaning with a soft cloth and mild soap. Treated with this small amount of respect, marble ages gracefully and develops a patina many owners come to love.
